Okay, I’m Back with a Thought Provoking Question :)

Thanks to everyone for your well-wishes!  I am getting better by the day, but not quite back to “normal” (whatever that is for me) yet.  I don’t think I will be working out until later this week, but tomorrow I plan to begin with a little stretching, keeping in mind, little by little fills the cup :).

Have a beautiful Tuesday.

  1. My favorite fictional novel: Written in 1943 by Herrman Hesse, Magister Ludi (The Glass Bead Game) was set in an unspecified future, after the chaos and horror of the 20th -century wars. In the book, Castalia was a place devoted to the more spiritual dimensions of life. Castalia remained separate from society except when both Castalia and outside world came together to celebrate the skills of the game players, the champions of the Glass Bead Game. Hesse gave no instruction on how to play the Game, but the goal was to bring together the spiritual values of all ages in an act of mental synthesis. Thanks for the opportunity to post!

  2. Wow, you must have been really sick! You take care of yourself & get better!!! YIKES!

What an interesting question!!! I am a simple person & right now 2 things come to mind at opposite ends of the spectrum:

    1. Winnie the Pooh – always have loved it & I so remember the old time books. I wanted to go with Christopher Robin in to that world!

    2. One of my fav movies – To Kill a Mocking Bird – just the humanity of it in terms of what he tough his children. Also loved One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest for the sheer determination of some people to overcome…

  3. I’m so glad that you are back. Just take it easy for a while longer. You have really had a battle and get that medical braclet.

My all time favorite movie is Cinderella. I aways thought that life should turn out just like that. Dream on huh!!

    • Have you seen Enchanted? You should. You’ll love it, I bet. (I have an 8-yr old girl, so we still have lots of glittery princess stuff at our house!)

  4. Welcome back to the world of the living, sista’ girl.
I love, love, love the Princess Bride or the book Lamb, by Christopher Moore. I love all books, although I do not get enough time to read!! Happy Tuesday!!!

  5. Don Juan De Marco remains one of our favorites and it is great for screening near Valentine’s Day!

Books are harder to pick a favorite from. I like Sherman Alexie and recently read _The Real-Life Adventures of a Part-Time Indian_ which is “young adult” fiction but anyone would enjoy it. (Picked it up to pre-screen for my pre-teen, who is NOT ready for it yet.)
